About the Dangerous Goods Course

In this course, candidates will first be familiarised with the goods that are classified as dangerous and learn how to recognise dangerous items. They learn about the special packaging procedures and materials used for the storage of dangerous goods, as well as the special vehicle container used for their transport, stowage and segregation. A holder of the dangerous goods license has to know all transport procedures, necessary documentation and vehicle markings.

Furthermore, after finishing the Dangerous Goods Licence Training, drivers will know about their responsibilities in case of an emergency. Here at Arrow Heavy Vehicle Training, we teach about the Hazchem Emergency Action Code which clearly states the action that can and should be taken immediately, without waiting for expert advice or authority approval.

Upon finishing our Dangerous Goods Licence Course, candidates will have the knowledge they need to drive a heavy vehicle transporting dangerous goods.
